BOX SCORE

TERRE HAUTE, IND. --The Rose-Hulman women’s soccer team fell in overtime to Mt. St. Joseph by a final score of 1-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Point, Mich./Northwestern U.) led the Engineers with four of the team’s five shots, two of them being on goal.

The Rose-Hulman defense held strong, successfully defending 30 Mt. St. Joseph scoring attempts before the Lions’ Ashley Maynard found the net in the 94th minute, giving Mt. St. Joseph the victory.

Freshman Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike) made seven saves in goal for the Engineers.

With the loss, Rose-Hulman falls to 6-5 on the season and 1-2 in league play.  The Engineers return to action on October 11, when they travel to Bluffton University.
