HANCOCK, MICH. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology scored six times in the first 27 minutes to earn a
10-0 women's soccer victory at Finlandia University on Sunday.
Sophomore Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./ St. John's
Country Day) opened the scoring with the first two goals of
the day, with one assist from sophomore Annmarie Stanley
(Warrenville, Ill./Rosary).
Senior Jen Lyman (Irwin, Pa../Penn Trafford)
increased the score to 3-0 with another first half score on
a pass from senior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Pointe,
Mich./Northwestern U.).
Freshman Anna Vogel (East
Greenwich, R.I./La Salle Academy) made the score 4-0 on a
pass from sophomore Rebecca Bowermaster (Wood River,
Ill./Roxana). Junior Kendra Albers (Knoxville,
Tenn./Farragut Academy) added the fifth goal on a pass from
Ridgway.
Freshman Carolyn Guzik (Avon, Ohio/Padua
Franciscan) capped the first half scoring with an unassisted
goal.
Bowermaster opened the second half scoring with
her first career goal on an assist from Stanley. Ridgway
added an unassisted score to increase the lead to 8-0.
Sophomore Eli Baca (Santa Fe, N.M.) capped
the scoring with two goals, including one assist from Stanley to
cap her three assist afternoon.
Freshman Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike)
picked up the victory in goal with a first half shutout.
Rose-Hulman stands 3-2 on the season and hosts
St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Wednesday.
