TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Three members of the Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology women's soccer team have earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American
accolades, in results released today by the College Sports
Information Directors of America.
Senior Jen Lyman (Irwin, Pa./Penn
Trafford) captured first-team Academic All-American honors,
with senior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Pointe,
Mich./ Northwestern University) and sophomore
Annmarie Stanley (Warrenville, Ill./Rosary) earning second-team
Academic All-American accolades for their efforts on the field
and in the classroom.
Lyman, Ridgway and Stanley captured the 77th,
78th and 79th Academic All-American awards in Rose-Hulman
history. The three awards mark the first time in school
history that a trio of teammates on the same women's squad have
been named Academic All-Americans.
Rose-Hulman also has a streak of 23 consecutive
years with at least one Academic All-American honoree, the sixth
longest current streak in the nation. The three were chosen as
the top 22 members of the College Division team, among more than 400
institutions at the NCAA Division II, III and NAIA levels.

Lyman has scored eight goals with 11 assists for
27 points this season from the Engineer midfield. The
civil engineering major is tied for fourth in school history
with 19 career assists and has scored four game-winning goals in
her Fightin' Engineer career.
Lyman appeared in 72 matches with 60 starts
at Rose-Hulman with 14 goals, 19 assists and 47 points.
The civil engineering major also carries a 3.72 grade point
average in the classroom.
Ridgway led the Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference in scoring this season and completed her career as a
three-time first-team all-league honoree. She tallied 19 goals and six assists for a league high 44 points
this fall.
Ridgway ranks fifth in school history with 33
goals and fourth with 85 points in the Rose-Hulman record book.
The civil engineering major maintains a 3.79 grade point average
in the classroom.

Annmarie Stanley -- 2nd-team Academic
All-American |
Stanley already ranks third in Rose-Hulman
history with 22 assists as a sophomore. She led the HCAC
with 13 assists this season, and amassed 26 points in her Rose-Hulman career.
In the classroom, Stanley maintains a 4.00
grade point average in computer engineering. She also earned second-team
all-league honors this fall.
Rose-Hulman completed the
season with a 12-7 record for its seventh consecutive winning
campaign. The Engineers have a 90-35-6 mark since the 2002
season.
