CINCINNATI, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology women's cross country team placed a strong third at
the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships on
Saturday.
Senior Melissa Rogers (Crawfordsville/Southmont)
recorded a second-place finish in the meet and all-league
recognition with a six-kilometer time of 23:46 to lead Rose-Hulman's
second best league performance in school history.
Creasy Clauser
(Crawfordsville/ Southmont) was named HCAC Freshman of the
Year and claimed all-conference honors after a fourth-place
finish in the meet. Clauser ran a time of 24:06 to lead
the league newcomers.
Freshman Katie Ross (Connersville)
pitched in with an honorable mention all-league performance by
finishing 19th in a time of 25:28.
Senior Amanda Lundahl (Lake Forest, Ill.)
contributed a time of 25:52 to the team score, while junior
Katherine Quigg (Chillicothe, Ill./Illinois Valley Central)
rounded out the team effort with a 23rd place in 26:01.
Rose-Hulman hosts the NCAA Division III Great
Lakes Regional at the LaVern Gibson Course on Saturday November 14.
