  Rose-Hulman News Three All-Time Performances Lead Women at Purdue
 

Rachel Krasich set a school record with her time of 19:02 at Purdue.

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross country team recorded three of the top five efforts in school history at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet on Friday.

Senior Rachel Krasich (Westfield) snapped her own school record with a time of 19:02 to pace the Engineer seventh-place finish.

Sophomore Melissa Rogers (Crawfordsville/Southmont) moved into second place on Rose-Hulman's all-time list with a time of 19:36 for five kilometers.

Senior Susan Nickol (Solon, Ohio/Beaumont School) moved into fifth on the Engineer all-time list with her time of 20:13.

Other runners rounding out the team score included senior Jill DeClerck (Palatine, Ill./William Fremd) with a time of 21:00 and. junior Alissa Bishel (Chesterton) with a 21:12.

Rose-Hulman's combined team time also established another school record.  The top five times combined for a mark of 102:06 to break the previous record by 11 seconds.

The Engineers placed seventh of the 17 teams overall in the very competitive meet.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Otterbein Invitational on Saturday.
