Rachel Krasich put forth a strong effort to lead Rose-Hulman with a time of 19:41.

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded its best Indiana Intercollegiate Meet finish in school history with an 8th place out of 18 teams at the LaVern Gibson Course on Friday.

Junior Rachel Krasich (Westfield) set the pace with a 17th place finish in the Little State Division with a time of 19.41.

Freshman Melissa Rogers (Crawfordsville/ Southmont) came home 43rd overall and second among Engineers with a time of 20:45.  Senior Mandy Hecker (Georgetown/ North Harrison) placed 54th overall with a time of 21.02.

Other runners contributing to the  team score included freshman Amanda Lundahl (Lake Forest, Ill.) with a 77th place in 21:50, and freshman Alissa Bishel (Chesterton) with a 79th in 21:54.

The Engineers return to action at the Otterbein Invitational on Sept. 23.
