TERRE HAUTE, IND. --
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology freshman Donna Marsh
(Mobile, Ala./Baker) has been named Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her efforts in last
week's pair of Engineer victories.
Marsh averaged 15.0
points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots per game. For
the week, Marsh shot 53% from the field and became Rose-Hulman's
single-season record holder for blocked shots with 53.
Her top performance of
the week came at Franklin, when Marsh scored a career-high 21
points and grabbed 13 rebounds for her ninth double-double of
the season.
She added nine points,
five rebounds and three blocked shots in Rose-Hulman's 59-45
victory over Transylvania on Saturday.
On the season, Marsh
averages 10.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Her
efforts stand 11th in the league in scoring, second in blocked
shots and third in rebounds.
Rose-Hulman improved to
10-10 overall and 6-5 in HCAC play with last week's pair of
wins. The Engineers travel to Mount St. Joseph on
Wednesday night.
