  Rose-Hulman News Marsh, Ridgway Named Honorable Mention All-League;
Marsh Reaches All-Freshman Team
 
Donna Marsh -- Honorable mention all-HCAC and member of the all-Freshman Team.

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed two players on the honorable mention all-conference squad and one on the all-freshman team in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball, in results released today by the league office.

Freshman Donna Marsh (Mobile, Ala./Baker) earned honorable mention all-league accolades and was named to the five-player conference all-freshman team.  Junior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Northwestern Univ.) joined Marsh on the honorable mention all-league squad.

Marsh averaged 9.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game to lead Rose-Hulman in both categories this season.  She also established a school record with 58 blocked shots.

Marsh's efforts ranked second in the conference in blocked shots and fifth in rebounding.  She led the team with 10 double-doubles and reached double figures in scoring 14 times this winter.

Liz Ridgway -- Honorable Mention all-HCAC

Ridgway averaged 9.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest to rank second on the Engineers.  Her efforts also included 12 blocked shots to rank second on the team and 23 steals to stand third on the squad.

On the season, Ridgway reached double figures in scoring 12 times, including four of the last five contests.  She tallied a season-high 16 points on two occasions and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds in a February win over Transylvania.

Rose-Hulman completed the season with an 11-15 record and qualified for the HCAC Tournament with a sixth-place league finish.
