BOX SCORE

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman scored all four goals in the second half to earn a 4-0 men's soccer victory over Mount St. Joseph to complete a perfect Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season on Saturday.

The Engineers will serve as the top seed for the HCAC Tournament beginning on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with a matchup against Hanover College.

Rose-Hulman remained in control the entire match as they outshot the Lions 27-4.  The Lions didn't get their first shot until the second half.

Rose-Hulman was led by senior Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill/ Lake Forest) who led the team with two goals on nine shots.  Senior Kyle Chmielewski (Shawnee, Ky./ Trinity) and junior Joe Salisbury (Fort Wayne, Ind./ Homestead) added second half goals for the Engineers.

Salisbury started the scoring for Rose-Hulman as he took the pass from midfield by junior Eric Myers (Indianapolis, Ind./ Mount Vernon) and put a shot under the diving goalie for his first goal of the season.

Evans then scored his first goal just over a minute later as his header deflected off the goalie into the net.  The shot was set up by a cross from sophomore Logan Peak (Stillwater, Minn.).

Evans then scored again in the 74th minute as he sped through the defense for an unassisted breakaway goal.

Chmielewski finished the Engineer scoring in the 86th minute, scoring his first goal of the season when he took a pass from junior Paul Bouagnon (St. Charles, Ill/Burlington Central)

Rose-Hulman improved to 12-5-1 on the season and 8-0 in the HCAC.  The Engineers begin the HCAC Tournament on Tuesday against Hanover.
