ANDERSON, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology improved to 4-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference play and 8-4-1 overall with a 2-1 overtime victory at
Anderson on Wednesday.
Freshman Zane Englert (Waterloo, Ill.) put
the Engineers on the board in the first half on an assist from
junior Corbin Clow (Martinsville).
Anderson knotted the score at 1-1 prior to
halftime, and the two teams battled through a scoreless second
half in rainy conditions.
Three minutes into overtime, senior Rhys Evans
(Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) scored the game winner on
another assist from Clow to lift Rose-Hulman to the key
conference win.
Anderson dropped to 3-2 in HCAC play and 6-8-1
overall with the defeat. The Fightin' Engineers return to
action on Saturday at Hanover College.
