TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 4-4-1 on the season with a 3-0 shutout against Illinois Wesleyan University on Wednesday night.

Junior Corbin Clow (Martinsville) led the offense with a pair of first half goals.  Junior Paul Bouagnon (St. Charles, Ill./Burlington Central) pitched in with the final score in the 71st minute.

Rose-Hulman's defense relied on a strong performance for its second consecutive shutout.  Junior Andy Kruth (Cedar Park, Texas/Vista Ridge) earned the shutout in goal with three saves behind a strong defensive effort that resulted in a 13-6 shot edge for the Engineers.

Clow opened the scoring in the eighth minute on a corner kick from junior Mitch Buffington (O'Fallon, Ill.).

His second goal was courtesy of an assist from junior Mitchell Ishmael (Knoxville, Tenn./Farragut) from 20 yards out to give the Engineers a 2-0 lead at the break.

Bouagnon rounded out the scoring with a header on a crossing pass from sophomore Tim Hollingshead (St. Peter's, Mo./Lutheran).

Rose-Hulman improved to 4-4-1 on the season with the victory and returns to action at Millikin University next Wednesday.
