GREENVILLE, ILL. -- Principia College relied on a
consistent offensive effort to top Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology 5-1 in men's soccer action on Saturday at Greenville.
Freshman Clint Vatterrodt (Bloomington,
Ill./University) provided Rose-Hulman's offensive tally in
the second half. Vatterrodt scored from the top of the box
after a dribble move.
Freshman Eric Davenport (New Lenox,
Ill./Lincoln Way-Central) recorded four saves in goal to
lead the defensive effort, with Vatterrodt firing a pair of
shots for the offense.
Rose-Hulman stands 0-2 on the season and hosts
Earlham College in the home opener on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
