TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
juniors Rachel Krasich (Westfield) and Matt Repking (Effingham,
Ill./ Teutopolis) earned Cross Country Runner of the Week honors from
the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, in results released Monday.
Krasich earned fifth-place honors in the Earlham
College Invitational on Saturday in Richmond. Her
five-kilometer time of 19:57 helped the Engineers place third in the
13-team meet.
Krasich becomes the first repeat winner of the HCAC
Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week Award in the 2006 season.
Repking finished second out of 138 runners and
defeated all non-scholarship competition in the Earlham
Invitational. He ran an eight-kilometer time of 26:49, the
second-fastest mark of his college career.

Repking's effort helped lift Rose-Hulman to a
second-place finish in the 13-team invitational, behind only NCAA
Division I Butler.
The Engineer cross country teams return to action at
the Millikin College Invitational on Friday, October 13.
