TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team
recorded its first top-five finish at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet in the
last 25 years with a fifth-place finish on Friday.
Junior Tyler Kreipke (Zionsville) placed
second in the Little State division of the meet to lead the Engineer efforts.
Kreipke ran a personal best time of 26:01 to record the second best Little State
finish in school history.
Junior Clark Moser (Elwood) came home
second among Engineers and 18th overall with a time of 27:27. Sophomore
David Caldwell (Plymouth) also earned individual awards with a 19th place
finish in 27:32.
Other contributors to the team score included
sophomore Mark Herber (Brownsburg) with a 39th place in 28:12 and
sophomore Micah Aldrich (Indianapolis/Warren Central) with a time of
28:42 for 47th place.
Sophomore Josh Elkins (Brownsburg) placed
54th in 28:55 for the Engineers, and senior Justin Druba
(Hanover/Southwestern) came home 62nd in 29:13.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Otterbein
Invitational next Saturday.
