HANOVER, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology men's cross country team placed three individuals on
the all-league team to finish third at the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference championships on Saturday.
Senior Matt Repking (Teutopolis, Ill.) led
the Engineers with a second-place finish among 100 competitors.
Repking ran a time of 26:41 in the eight-kilometer effort.
Freshman David Caldwell (Plymouth) added
the team's second all-conference honor with a ninth-place
finish. Caldwell completed the course in a time of 27:13.
Junior Stephen Boedicker (Delaware, Ohio)
rounded out the all-conference efforts with a 10th-place finish
in a time of 27:15.
Freshmen Tyler Kreipke (Zionsville) and Clark Moser
(Elwood) rounded out the team score. Kreipke ran a
time of 27:50 for a 17th-place finish, while Moser came in 18th
with a time of 27:52.
The men's team performance marked an increase of one position
from the 2006 HCAC Championships and is Rose-Hulman's top league
finish in men's cross country in more than a decade.
The Engineers return to action at the NCAA Division III
Regionals at Calvin College on Nov. 10.
