FRANKLIN, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology men's cross country team relied on a strong effort
from its freshman class to place third in the seven-team
Franklin College Invitational on Saturday.
Derek Bischak (Angola)
led the Engineer performances
with a sixth-place finish in an eight-kilometer time of 28:27.
Clark Moser (Elwood) also reached the top 10 with an
eighth place in 28:32.
Other contributors to the team score included freshman Tim
Murphy (Naperville, Ill./Central) with a 20th place finish in 29:11;
freshman Josh Manore (Hammond, Wis./St. Croix Central) with a 26th overall
finish in 29:45; and junior Kyle Winterrowd (Zionsville)
with a 34th place in 30:32.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Hanover Invitational on
Saturday morning.
