Charles Williams Records All-Time Top-10 Effort to Lead Rose-Hulman at NCAA Regionals

Charles Williams ran the ninth-best time in school history to lead Rose-Hulman's effort.

WILMINGTON, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team finished 18th of 34 teams, led by the ninth-best individual effort in school history, at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Regional at Wilmington College on Saturday.

Junior Charles Williams (Bloomington/North) finished 33rd out of 232 competitors and recorded the ninth-best individual time in school history with an eight kilometer time of 25:54 to lead Rose-Hulman's effort.

Sophomore Matt Repking (Effingham, Ill./Teutopolis) placed second among Engineers and 87th overall in a time of 27:00.  Freshman John Sullivan (Falls Church, Va./George Mason) added a 118th place in a time of 27:26.

The Engineers recorded their highest percentage finish in an NCAA Regional since 1994 and finished second among Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the event.  Rose-Hulman will join the HCAC next fall.
