Ryan Robinson -- first-team Academic All-District honoree.

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed three players on the ESPN The Magazine academic all-district team, highlighted by first-team recognition for senior Ryan Robinson (Danville).

Robinson was joined on the all-district squad by a pair of second-team honorees.  Senior Mike Alto (West Chester, Ohio/ Lakota East) earned a spot as defensive back, while junior Thomas Reives (Indianapolis/ Tech) was cited as the second-team punter.

Robinson ranked second on the Engineers with 31 receptions for 397 yards and one touchdown this fall.  The civil engineering major increased his reception total during each of his three seasons at wide receiver, highlighted by a pair of touchdown catches.

Mike Alto -- second-team Academic All-District.

Robinson recorded totals of 58 receptions for 649 yards in his Rose-Hulman career and was named the team's Wide Receiver of the Year in 2005.

Alto ranked third on the team with 60 tackles and added eight tackles-for-loss, one interception return for a touchdown, one forced fumble and one blocked kick this season.  The mechanical engineering major was also a second-team Academic All-District selection last season.

Reives captured second-team honors after averaging 34.2 yards per punt on 39 kicks, with 12 boots landing inside the opponent's 20-yard line.  The mechanical engineering major also hauled in five catches for 152 yards and one touchdown and rushed twice for 15 yards as a wide receiver.  He was twice named HCAC Special Teams Player of the Week in 2006.

Thomas Reives -- second-team Academic All-District.
