TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's soccer teams have each earned the top seed for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournaments that will take place this week.

The men's soccer squad completed its second consecutive undefeated conference season and the first unbeaten and untied campaign in league play.  Rose-Hulman stands 12-5-1 overall and 8-0 in league play.

The men's tournament begins with a 2 p.m. semifinal match against Hanover College on Tuesday.  If Rose-Hulman wins, the Engineers would host the league title match on Saturday.

Senior Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) leads the Engineers with eight goals this season, and junior Corbin Clow (Martinsville) has added five goals and seven assists.

Defensively, Rose-Hulman has allowed just 16 goals in 18 matches this season.

Monica Guzik and the women's soccer squad host Transylvania on Wednesday.

The women's squad finished 7-1 in conference play and stands 8-9 overall on the season entering the league tournament.

Junior Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./St. John's Country Day) led the Engineer offense with nine goals, while junior Eli Baca (Santa Fe, N.M.) has scored six times this season.

The women's team has secured its second league title in three years and earned the top seed for the league tournament in 2007.

Rose-Hulman will host Transylvania on Wednesday at 2 p.m.  If Rose-Hulman wins the semifinal match, the Engineers would host the league title tilt on Saturday.
