Annmarie Stanley -- first-team academic all-district

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Two members of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology soccer programs earned spots on the ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-District V Team, in results released today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Junior Annmarie Stanley (Warrenville, Ill./ Rosary) captured first-team academic all-district honors for the women's squad, while junior Corbin Clow (Martinsville) was honored on the second-team academic all-district men's squad.

Stanley earned second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American honors last season and leads the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with seven assists in 2009.

The computer engineering major was also chosen second-team all-conference in 2008 and ranks second in school history with 29 career assists.

Stanley advances to the Academic All-America ballot, with team results scheduled for release on November 17.

The women's soccer team would earn the top seed for next week's HCAC Tournament by defeating Mount St. Joseph on Saturday at Jim Rendel Field.

Corbin Clow -- second-team academic all-district

Clow leads the HCAC with seven assists and ranks third in the league with 17 points this season.  His career totals include 18 goals and 13 assists in 49 career matches that includes 40 starts.

The civil engineering major has earned first-team all-league honors during both years of his playing career at Rose-Hulman.

The men's soccer team stands 11-5-1 overall and has wrapped up the top seed for next week's HCAC Tournament at 7-0 in league play.  The Engineers can complete the first perfect conference regular season in men's soccer history with a win over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.
