TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology senior soccer player Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake

Hamilton Southeastern) were named Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference Players of the Week for their efforts on Saturday.
Evans scored the lone goal in Rose-Hulman's 1-0
victory over perennial league power Transylvania University.
His second half score propelled the Engineers into first place in
the league standings, with a win over last year's conference
runner-up.
Evans, the reigning HCAC Most Valuable Player, has
scored two goals with one assist for the 3-4-1 Engineers. His
career totals of 23 goals and 52 points each rank sixth in Rose-Hulman
history.
Eaton paced Rose-Hulman's defensive effort with 12

solo tackles and six assists, along with 1.5 tackles-for-loss, as
Rose-Hulman held the Panthers to 195 yards of total offense.

squad welcomes Mount St. Joseph in the HCAC opener this Saturday as
part of Homecoming festivities.
