Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology is a private college of science,
mathematics, and engineering with 1600
undergraduate students. There is a small, but
growing major in economics. The median entering
student had combined scores of 1300 on the SAT.
For four years in a row, U.S. News and World
Report has ranked Rose-Hulman first among
U.S. engineering colleges that do not offer the
Ph.D. It is financially sound, with an endowment
of $148 million. Three years ago, the Institute
received a $30 million grant to fund a business
incubator and an industrial outreach program.
Professional development is encouraged and
actively supported. Rose-Hulman is noted for
pedagogical innovation, and persons interested in
exploring new teaching strategies,
technology-enhanced learning, and curriculum
development are particularly encouraged to apply.
All students purchase an Institute-standard laptop
computer and most of the campus, including many
classrooms, is networked. |
