The computer science and software engineering groups went to Beckman Coulter to learn that there is more to programming than videogames and iPhone apps. The monkeys were able to see state-of-the-art equipment in action and meet with industry professionals to have any questions answered.
Later that night was the talent show Emceed by Mr. Pat Suter and me. It was a joyous time on the stage full of laughter, inspiration, and leapfrogging. Check out the photo updates for some great footage of the show. During intermission the counselors, with the help of Lauren S. and Monica P., pulled a little prank on a few of the guys. The guys enter one at a time trying to deliver their best (clean) pickup lines to the ladies and sit down in between them. Unbeknownst to the boys, the girls were sitting on two fold up chairs with a blanket hanging on the chairs creating the illusion of a seat in the middle. Needless to say, it was priceless.
To conclude this jam packed day, Midnight Madness was tie-dying shirts. We had a great turn out and all the shirts look awesome.
