Instrument to test safety of laser modules

A prototype instrument was designed and constructed for an industrial client to classify the output of various laser modules and light exiting the ends of terminated optical fibers. The instrument conforms to the standards specified by both the domestic and international safety requirements. The steps followed in designing the instrument are shown below from initial concept and ray trace, solid model design and final instrument.
