Alpha Chi Sigma is the nation’s oldest Professional Chemistry Fraternity, with over 49 collegiate and 9 professional chapters across the nation. Our fraternity is an organization of men and women who are passionate about learning, teaching and applying chemistry.
The Iota Chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma was founded in 1909 and is located at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. The chapter meets every Monday evening throughout the school year at 6:00pm in the Hulman Union. We have a strong history of service to the Terre Haute community. This outreach includes “Chemistry on Wheels,” which brings chemistry education to local elementary and middle schools, and our merit badge program, which exposes Terre Haute Boy Scouts to introductory chemistry.
Membership to the Iota Chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma is predicated on a strong dedication to chemistry. Rush events are held in the Fall and Spring academic terms. Please see our “Pledging” page for more information.
