Los Alamos
National Laboratory, ESA-EA, Los Alamos, NM.
Visiting Faculty Member, summers 1997-present, Long Term Visiting Staff Member,
July 1995-June 1996. At Los Alamos I have worked on the characterization of shocks,
performed several random response analyses of satellites and civil structures, and worked
in the area of structural health monitoring,
that is, detecting damage in structures using changes in their
vibration characteristics.
Ive used IDEAS and ABAQUS extensively.

Los Alamos
National Laboratory, WX-11, Los Alamos, NM. Collaborator, Summers 1990 - 1992.
I worked as an analyst using the finite element codes ABAQUS and ABAQUS/EXPLICIT to solve
transient, large deformation structural problems. I also did some work in the area of
sensitivity analysis and structural design optimization. I primarily worked on a VAX and a
Cray YMP.
